Understanding our longest headstand results by division
Preslyn held a headstand for 21 minutes 22 seconds in Colonia Juárez, Mexico. Erin held one for 1 minute 40 seconds in Dorset, England. Both girls hold Kids World Records titles, and neither one beats the other, because their results sit in different age divisions.
Is there one longest headstand result for every child?
No. We group our individual records into four age divisions — 4–6, 7–9, 10–12 and 13–16 — and into boy, girl and gender X divisions. A six-year-old is never measured against a fifteen-year-old, and results from different gender divisions stay separate too. That's why several children can hold a Longest Headstand title at the same time, each one inside her or his own division. If you came here hoping for a single longest headstand world record that covers every child, the honest answer is that it depends which division you mean.
The four results below all come from the girls' age divisions. Boy and gender X results are kept separately, so read this as one set of divisions rather than a roll call of everyone holding a Longest Headstand title with us.
Longest Headstand results in the girls' age divisions
| Division | Record holder | Elapsed time | Location | Date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Girls' 4–6 | Zyva | 1 minute 28 seconds | Al Wakrah, Al Wakra Municipality, Qatar | May 5, 2026 |

| Girls' 13–16 | Erin | 1 minute 40 seconds | Dorset, England | August 18, 2026 |
Four girls, four countries: Qatar, Mexico, the United States and England.
Camille showed balance, flexibility and determination in her Girls' 10–12 headstand. Erin's balance and determination stood out in her Girls' 13–16 headstand.
How to read the divisional results
Longest Headstand is one of our endurance titles, and elapsed time is the whole measurement. Nothing else gets scored — not style, not steadiness. The stopwatch decides.
A headstand also isn't a handstand. Longest Handstand is a separate title with its own results, and wall-supported and other modified versions are separate again. A time attached to one of those names doesn't belong beside the four entries above.
Lists like this one shift as new results come in. These four divisions, times, places and dates were checked against our current records on September 1, 2026, and that is what you see above.
